La Adelita Extra Añejo is a tequila aged for an average of 48 months in second-use American oak whiskey barrels, which are re-toasted in Mexico to a medium toast. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
In the glass it is a crisp amber-gold with deep, silky legs.
The nose offers honeyed heather, sassafras, marzipan and apricot nectar. On the palate come sweet milk chocolate and white-peppered orange blossom, with a lingering fragrance that suits slow sipping.
