La Madrina Pisco Acholado is a Peruvian pisco at 42% ABV in a 75cl bottle, made as a blend of Quebranta with the aromatic Italia and Torontel grapes.
It is distilled in copper pot stills to proof at Fundo Tres Generaciones in the Ica Valley, a producer established in 1856. Nothing is added, and the pisco is unaged. The dry, structured Quebranta supports the floral character of the other two grapes.
Citrus and lemongrass sit over dried fruit, and the palate is smooth and balanced. It suits a Pisco Sour or a Chilcano, and can also be drunk neat.
