La Madrina Pisco Quebranta is a Peruvian pisco of the Puro style, made entirely from Quebranta, a non-aromatic grape. It is distilled in copper pot stills to bottling strength at Fundo Tres Generaciones in the Ica Valley, using grapes from Bodega Doña Juanita. It is unaged, with no additives, colouring or flavouring.
The dry, structured character of Quebranta is why it is the usual choice for a Pisco Sour, where it stands up to lime and egg white. It is bottled at 44% in a 75cl bottle.
On the palate it is smooth and velvety, with raisins and dried fruits, ripe fruit, light floral hints and a touch of sweetness, followed by a long, elegant finish.
