Lady of the Glen Tormore 2011 12 Years Old (70cl, 55.1%)

This is a 12 year old Tormore single malt from Lady of the Glen, distilled on 19th January 2011 and bottled on 15th February 2023. It is bottled at 55.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle, from an outturn of 214 bottles. Tormore was founded in 1958 beside the River Spey. This whisky matured in a hogshead and was then finished for over six months in an ex-Sauternes wine barrique. The second cask adds a gentle dryness and spice to the light, fruity spirit. The tasting notes describe hazelnut croissant, bitter orange and blossom honey, with honeyed notes and apricot from the Sauternes finish.
