Lagavulin 10 Year Old is a single malt scotch from the Lagavulin distillery on Islay, an island known for heavily peated whiskies. Its style is smoky, with iodine and salt notes of the sea.
The nose is led by peat smoke, with ash, iodine and wood, and touches of citrus and vanilla. The palate shows smoke, salt, fruit and spice, with the peat softened by a little sweetness. The finish is long and smoky, with saline and lightly spicy notes.
