This is a ten-year-old Lagavulin single malt from Islay, matured in American oak casks and first fill bourbon casks. It was released for travel retail in August 2020.
The notes describe a contrasting dram. The nose carries the smoke and sea breezes expected of Islay. On the palate it opens sweet and salty, with a creamy smoothness, a light spiciness and a good depth of smoke.
The finish is smoky and spicy, warming and long.
