Lagavulin 10 Year Old Travel Exclusive is a travel retail bottling of the Islay single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a combination of refill, bourbon and heavily charred casks.
The nose has peat smoke, citrus peel, light salinity and vanilla. On the palate there is warm smoke, toffee, pepper, charred orange zest and a touch of barbecue smoke. The finish is medium to long, smoky and softly sweet, with a warming effect.
