This is a 12 year old Lagavulin from Islay, bottled at a cask strength of 57.7% in 2022 for the Feis Ile festival. It comes in a 70cl bottle, and 3500 bottles were produced.
The whisky was matured in refill American oak hogsheads and then finished in virgin American oak casks. It is the first Feis bottling released under the distillery's new manager, Jordan Paisley.
The style is rich, full-bodied and sweet-spicy. Strong oak spice holds the smoke in check until water lets it come forward.
