This is Lagavulin 12 Year Old from the 2021 Special Release, an Islay single malt bottled at natural cask strength. It is a limited edition, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose combines maritime smoke, charcoal, citrus zest and a light saltiness. On the palate come intense peat smoke, black pepper, grilled spices and green apple, followed by a long, warm finish of herbs and ash.
