This is a 13 year old Lagavulin finished in mezcal casks, released to celebrate the Islay Jazz Festival in 2021. It is bottled at 54.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle, and only 3000 bottles were produced.
It shows the heavily peated island style of the distillery. Rich smoke and maritime character sit alongside the influence of the oak, which adds depth, warmth and structure to a bold, coastal profile.
