This is Lagavulin 16 Year Old, an official distillery bottling from the 2006 edition, at 43% ABV. It was bottled around 2006.
The nose is raw and peaty with a maritime edge, ripe gooseberries and only a light sherry influence. The palate starts slightly sweet and round before turning much drier, with walnuts, peat, roots, smoked tea, liquorice and hints of toffee.
