Lagavulin 16 Years Old is an Islay single malt matured for 16 years in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks.
It is peated to roughly 35 to 40 ppm, and the smoke is joined by maritime notes. It is bottled at 43% ABV and has won gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2022 and the International Whisky Competition 2015.
It is typically described as having a sweet and smoky aroma.
