Lagavulin – 1979 15 Year Old The Syndicate's (70cl, 59.2%)

A single cask Lagavulin distilled in 1979 and bottled at 15 years old by The Syndicate's. This Islay single malt comes in a 70cl bottle at a cask strength of 59.2%. The Syndicate's drew it from a parcel of 1979 Lagavulin stock that it bought privately, and at 15 years old it is one of the younger bottlings from that parcel. Tasting notes describe wild coastal character alongside white and green fruits, tea, smoke, fat, chewy peat and a rich, oily texture.
