A 28 year old Islay single malt from Lagavulin, distilled in 1991 and part of Diageo's Prima & Ultima Collection. It was matured in carefully selected American oak hogsheads and bottled in December 2019 at a natural cask strength of 50.1% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is classic Lagavulin, with linseed oil and fresh linen and a distant wisp of bergamot-scented smoke. The texture is smooth, oily and rich, and the taste is warm and sweet, then salty and smoky.
