Lagavulin 8 Year Old 200th Anniversary Limited Edition was released to mark 200 years since John Johnston founded the distillery in 1816. It is bottled at 48% ABV.
The whisky is big and smoky, with a sweet spice that becomes apparent with a drop of water. It was inspired by Alfred Barnard's visit to the distillery in the 1880s, when he tried an 'exceptionally fine' eight-year-old.
