The 2022 Lagavulin Distillers Edition is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle. It is double matured, with a second maturation in American oak casks that were seasoned with Pedro Ximénez sherry.
Coastal smoke runs through the whisky, alongside a sweetness of fruit. Lagavulin has carried its present name since 1837, on a site where a local businessman had built two distilleries in 1816.
