This is the Distillers Edition from Lagavulin, an Islay single malt bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
After its first maturation it is matured a second time in Pedro Ximenez seasoned American oak casks.
The nose is sweet, with cherries, raisins, red berries, smoke, sea breeze and citrus. On the palate there is sweet smokiness, iodine and saltiness, with fruity notes of red fruit and honey and a peppery touch. The finish is medium in length, with dried fruit and a hint of bitterness.
