Lagg – Corriecravie (70cl, 55%)

Corriecravie is the sherry-influenced core bottling from Lagg on the Isle of Arran, a peated single malt at 55% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The malt is peated Concerto barley, fermented for an extended time. The whisky matured first in bourbon casks, then spent about six months in Oloroso sherry hogsheads from Miguel Martín in Jerez. Dark chocolate and spiced red berries show on the nose. The palate is full and juicy, with charred embers and hazelnut, and the finish holds charred oak, smoke and sweet spices.
