Lagg – Corriecravie Edition (70cl, 55%)

Corriecravie Edition is a peated single malt from Lagg distillery on the Isle of Arran, and one of the two bottlings that make up its standard range from 2023. It is bottled at 55% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. The whisky is matured first in ex-bourbon barrels, then spends a further six months in ex-Oloroso sherry hogsheads from a Jerez cooperage run by Miguel Martin. The malt is peated to 50 ppm, and the name comes from a small hamlet north-west of the village of Lagg. The nose is dark chocolate and spiced red berries. The palate is rich, with elegance and subtle notes of charred embers and hazelnut, followed by a long finish.
