Lagg – Inaugural Release Batch 1 (70cl, 50%)

The first of three inaugural releases from Lagg, the distillery on the southern tip of the Isle of Arran, and the first whiskies it has released. This single malt is bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Lagg focuses on heavily peated spirit, made from barley with a phenol content of 50ppm and peat from across Scotland. For this release the whisky was matured in bourbon casks, which add soft toffee and spicy character to the smoky, fruity spirit underneath.
