Lagg – Kilmory (70cl, 46%)

Kilmory is a peated single malt from Lagg on the Isle of Arran, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is the first permanent bottling in the distillery's core range, and it keeps its natural colour and is not chill-filtered. The whisky matured only in first-fill bourbon barrels made from American oak, used for the first time for Scotch whisky. The casks bring creamy vanilla, toasted oak and sweet spice notes to sit alongside the peat smoke. The nose combines bonfire smoke, heather and charred citrus. Lively citrus fruit comes in on the palate with a little bonfire smoke. The long finish leaves citrus, smoke and vanilla.
