Lagg – Kilmory

Lagg Kilmory is a peated single malt matured entirely in first fill bourbon barrels. It is the first core range release from the young distillery and takes its name from the place where the distillery stands. It is meant to recall the style of whisky once made in illicit stills on the island, long before there was an Arran or a Lagg distillery. Sweetness and peat meet on the nose, with oranges, grapefruit, charred limes, some tropical fruit and soft ashy smoke. The palate is lively and bright, with more citrus and fruit, grassy, vegetal notes, earthy peat, vanilla and a little cigar tobacco.
