A six year old single malt from Lagg Distillery, matured entirely in 125 litre quarter casks that were re-made from ex-bourbon barrels. The distillery manager chose these casks to show how greater contact with the oak builds richness, sweetness and complexity in Lagg's peated spirit.
Tasting notes describe layers of vanilla, butterscotch and charred oak, balanced by fragrant peat smoke and bright citrus.
