An early 2000s bottling of Laphroaig 10 Year Old Original Cask Strength, an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle at 57.3% ABV. It was matured for ten years in ex-bourbon casks and bottled without chill filtration. It is one of the first red-stripe editions, following the Green Stripe 'Straight From The Wood' releases and coming before the strength was lowered to 55.7%.
The whisky combines Laphroaig's medicinal peat smoke, sea spray and iodine with vanilla, citrus, sweet malt and warming oak spice.
