Laphroaig – 10 Year Old Unblended Bottled 1986 (75cl, 40%)

This is an old distillery bottling of Laphroaig 10 Year Old 'Unblended', an Islay single malt released in 1986 in a 75cl bottle at 40%. It dates from what is known as the distillery's fruity period. The Unblended editions of the 1980s have grown steadily in popularity. They are remembered for gentle smoke, bandages, wet sand, diesel, iodine, lemon juice and saline, alongside a great abundance of sweet tropical fruit: melon, grapefruit, kiwi, mango, guava and pineapple.
