This is a 10 year old Laphroaig single malt from Islay, released in 1986 as a distillery bottling at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It carries the term 'Unblended', which Laphroaig used in the 1970s and 1980s to show that the whisky came entirely from one distillery, with no grain whisky or spirit from elsewhere. The designation was later replaced by 'Single Malt'. Bottles from this period come from what is often called Laphroaig's fruity period, when medicinal peat was joined by a depth of tropical fruit. The notes run from gentle smoke, iodine, bandages, wet sand, diesel, lemon juice and saline, to sweet tropical fruit: melon, grapefruit, kiwi, mango, guava and pineapple.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
