This is a 10 year old Islay single malt from Laphroaig, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It matures in oak casks, and the peat smoke is joined by sweeter malt, vanilla and subtle wood.
The nose has strong peat smoke with medicinal notes and salty sea air, then sweet malt, vanilla and a hint of citrus. The palate is powerful and smoky, with earthy peat, salty touches and a medicinal note, balanced by sweet malt and vanilla with light spice. The finish is long and smoky, with lingering peat, maritime notes and a subtle sweetness that fades gradually.
