Laphroaig – 18 Year Old (48%)

Laphroaig 18 Year Old is an Islay single malt matured for 18 years in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 48% ABV. It was introduced as a flagship expression in 2024. The distillery's smoky style is joined by sweet vanilla, ripe fruit and warming spice, with the long maturation bringing a rounded, almost creamy fruit character. On the nose there is peat smoke, vanilla, soft caramel, gooseberry and toffee. The palate offers cinnamon, baked apple tart, exotic fruit and honey alongside medicinal smoke. The finish is long, with fruit, fresh mint and lingering peat.
