Laphroaig – 20 Year Old 2005/2026 Saltire Rare Malt Refill European Oak Hogshead

This Laphroaig was distilled on Islay in 2005 and bottled in 2026 by Saltire Rare Malt, after 20 years in a refill European oak hogshead. The nose is led by heavy smoke, with medicinal notes, dried lemon, ash and earth. The palate follows the nose, adding menthol, sticking plasters and tar oil on wood, and the long finish carries smoke.
