A 25-year-old Islay single malt, released by Laphroaig itself in 2011 as part of its Cask Strength Edition. It was finished in Oloroso casks and is bottled at 48.6%.
The nose brings peat smoke, sea air and medicinal notes alongside dried fruit, soft spice and a little sweet oak. The palate is full and layered, with strong peat smoke and salty accents, dried fruit, caramel and spice.
The finish is long and warming, with lingering smoke, maritime notes and spicy wood.
