Laphroaig Elements 2.0 is the second release in the Elements series, which looks at how individual production steps shape the character of Laphroaig. This edition focuses on fermentation, extended from the usual 55 hours to as long as 115. The washbacks were aerated throughout, drawing on historic methods. It is bottled without chill filtration. Notes include stewed green apples, orange peel and bright citrus alongside smoky Islay peat.
