Laphroaig Elements 2.0 is an Islay single malt reworked by distillery manager Barry MacAffer and their team. A longer fermentation gives the spirit an unexpected fruitiness, and it then matured in first-fill bourbon casks while keeping the salty, maritime character of the distillery.
The nose combines a light veil of smoke with vanilla sweetness and bright orange peel. On the palate, apple, golden honey and buttery toffee sit alongside seaweed notes. Phenolic peat and soft caramel carry into a long finish.
