Laphroaig Quarter Cask is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 48%. It is matured first in ex-bourbon casks and then in small quarter casks.
The colour is bright gold with a light amber edge. Peat smoke leads the nose, with iodine, seaweed and charred oak over vanilla, honeycomb and toasted coconut.
The palate brings smoked bacon, campfire embers and vanilla fudge, with white pepper and ginger. The finish is long, smoky and warming, ending on sweet malt and coastal brine.
