Laphroaig Quarter Cask is an Islay single malt bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It was first released in 2004.
The whisky was aged for around five years, then finished for several months in a quarter cask. That cask holds just 80 litres, so the spirit has far more contact with the wood than in a full-size barrel, and the finish does not need a long maturation.
