Laphroaig – Select (70cl, 40%)

Laphroaig Select is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% abv. It is made by bringing together whiskies matured in different cask types, among them American oak and casks that previously held sherry. Peat smoke and medicinal notes run through it, softened by sweeter tones and a little spice. On the nose there is peat smoke with vanilla, citrus and gentle wood. The palate combines smoke, sweet malt and vanilla with fruity touches, and the finish is of medium length with lingering peat smoke and a hint of sweetness.
