Ledaig 10 Year Old is a peated single malt from Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull, founded in 1798. It is bottled at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle.
The malt comes from Port Ellen Maltings on Islay, and the whisky was matured for ten years exclusively in ex-bourbon American casks.
The nose combines sweet and salty smoke with medicinal notes, tar, polish, mint and a floral coastal touch. The palate contrasts sweet, spicy and medicinal elements, with full-bodied smoke and a hint of vanilla. The finish brings white pepper, liquorice and cloves, with salty smoke lingering.
