Ledaig 42 Year Old Dùsgadh is an official bottling of peated single malt from Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull, in a 70cl bottle at 46.7% ABV. It was distilled in 1972 and bottled in 2015, in an outturn of 500 bottles.
It contains some of the first spirit made after the distillery reopened in 1972. Copper from the stills, which have since been retired, was used in the packaging.
The nose is coal, cold ashes and tobacco leaves with seaweed, leather, raisins and baked apple. The palate is smoky and sooty with cigars, honey and dark chocolate, and the finish is long, drier and peppery with a salty twist.
