Ledaig 9 Year Old is a limited edition peated single malt from the Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull, bottled at a cask strength of 56.8%.
The whisky was distilled from peated malted barley and matured for nine years in ex-Bordeaux red wine casks, which gave it a ruby hue. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The tasting notes describe rich smoke and campfire embers with dark berries, oak and sea salt on the nose. The palate is full-bodied, with redcurrant, plum, peppery spice, peat, chocolate and a touch of leather. The finish is long, smoky and slightly dry.
