Limeburners Port is a Western Australian single malt, made from local barley and distilled in copper pot stills. It was made and hand bottled at the Great Southern Distillery in Albany.
This cask strength bottling, from barrel M511, is 61% abv in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was matured in an Australian ex-port cask and finished in a very old, small Australian ex-port cask. It is non-chill filtered and has no added caramel colouring.
With a splash of water the nose shows malted barley, port and vanilla, with honey, raisins and caramel. The flavours are full and complex, and the finish is smooth.
