Minor Case Straight Rye is a Kentucky rye whiskey from Limestone Branch Distillery, bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle.
It is matured first in new, charred American oak barrels and then finished in former sherry casks. Rye leads the mash bill, with corn and malted barley alongside it.
The nose combines spicy rye with honey, dried fruit, vanilla and oak. The palate is rich and balanced, with caramel, dark chocolate and baking spices. The finish is medium to long, with lingering spice, dried fruit and a dry edge.
