Lindores Abbey – 2018/2023 4 Year Old The Exclusive Cask First Fill Bourbon Barrel #180402 (60.4%)

This is a single cask Lowland single malt from Lindores Abbey, distilled from malted barley on 31 May 2018. It spent its four years entirely in one first fill bourbon barrel, number 180402, and was bottled at a cask strength of 60.4% at the distillery on 4 February 2023. The outturn was 236 bottles, and the whisky is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. There was no additional finish and no vatting of different cask types, so the bourbon barrel sits alongside the malty character of the spirit. The nose is sweet vanilla with toffee and creamy caramel. On the palate the sweet cask notes meet a malty base and a spicy structure.
