This is a Lindores Abbey single malt from the independent bottler Thompson Bros, finished in Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 55.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Lindores is a Lowland distillery built among the ruins of an old monastery. A 1494 written record shows the monk John Cor being asked by King James IV to turn eight bolls of malt into aqua vitae. Whisky-making resumed there in 2017, and the first bottles reached drinkers in spring 2021.
