A Lowland single malt from Lindores Abbey, distilled in 2018 and matured in a single oloroso sherry butt. It is one of 720 bottles, in a 70cl bottle. The distillery stands in Fife on the banks of the River Tay, beside the ruins of an abbey founded by Tironensian monks.
The nose is stewed plums, chocolate ganache cake, baked apples, butter shortbread, cinnamon and ginger. On the palate are sweet, oily sherry, dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, buttercream icing and stewed fruits. The finish is long, sweet and oily, with pineapple rings, burnt toast and figs.
