Lindores Abbey Nectere is a single malt from Fife, in the Lowlands, bottled by the distillery at 47.2% in a 70cl bottle. Four types of sherry cask go into it: Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, Amontillado and Palo Cortado. It is not a smoky whisky, it is bottled without chill-filtration or added colour, and it is rust-brown in the glass.
The nose has raisins and molasses with creamy vanilla. The palate is full and velvety, with dark fruit, nutty macaroons and pecans, followed by a long, spicy, dry finish.
