Lindores Abbey – Nectere (70cl, 47.2%)

Nectere is a single malt from Lindores Abbey in the Lowlands, matured entirely in sherry casks. The distillery looks back to the monks who first distilled at Lindores Abbey in 1494, and this bottling draws on the Spanish tradition of sherry production. The whisky spent its maturation in Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, Amontillado and Palo Cortado casks, and is bottled at 47.2% in a 70cl bottle. The sherry wood is described as adding dark fruit, spice and nuttiness, with plenty of depth.
