Lindores Abbey – STR Wine Cask Single Malt (70cl)

This is a single malt from Lindores Abbey, a distillery with a long history, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is matured in wine casks that have been treated using the STR method: the staves are shaved, toasted and re-charred. That treatment brings pronounced wine influence into the spirit, set alongside traditional malt flavours, so the bottle sits between a modern approach to cask preparation and a traditional style of malt whisky.
