Lindores Abbey – The Friar John Cor The Cask Strength Congregation Batch Chapter 3

This is the third Lindores Abbey tribute to Friar John Cor, the original monk of Scotch whisky, bottled as a cask strength single malt. The whisky was matured in three kinds of cask: Bourbon, Amontillado sherry and Pedro Ximénez sherry. It was then brought together again in sherry casks. Lindores Abbey Distillery stands in Newburgh in the Lowlands, directly opposite the abbey ruins. It began distilling in December 2017 with three stills made by Forsyths of Rothes.
