Lindores Abbey – Thiron 2024 (70cl, 49.4%)

Thiron 2024 is a single malt from Lindores Abbey, bottled at 49.4% in a 70cl bottle. It is the first in a series of annual editions marking the distillery's long connection with the French village and abbey of Thiron-Gardais, home of the Tironesian monks. It was matured in casks made from wood sourced at Thiron-Gardais, together with rejuvenated red wine barriques and bourbon casks. On the palate there is oaky vanilla and butterscotch, plum jam with cinnamon and ginger, and layers of roasted chestnuts, with a silky texture.
