A single malt from Lindores Abbey distillery in Newburgh, between Perth and St Andrews, matured in an STR wine cask and bottled in a 70cl bottle. Only 276 bottles were filled.
The abbey has a place in Scotch whisky history: a 1494 Exchequer record shows the King commissioning Friar John Cor to make aqua vitae from barley. Drew McKenzie-Smith built the distillery on Lindores Abbey Farm, which has been in his family since 1915, and spirit ran from the stills again in 2017.
