A 12 year old Speyside single malt from Linkwood, distilled on 17 January 2011 and bottled in January 2024 at a cask strength of 54.1%. It comes from cask number 71, which yielded 249 bottles, and is part of the Auld Goonsy series. The whisky had a 12 month finish in an orange wine cask. Orange wine is a white wine made like a red, with the crushed green grapes left in contact with their skins to draw out flavour, tannin and colour. Pepper, tobacco and tropical fruit mark the palate, with clementine, vanilla and butter in the finish.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
